Filippo Maccaferri, LL.M.

Filippo Maccaferri is a Legal Assistant at Melchionna PLLC in New York. He earned his law degree from Bocconi University in Milan, Italy, where he concentrated on business law. He spent the Fall 2024 semester at Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law, Chicago, as an exchange student, and subsequently obtained an LL.M. in Corporation Law from New York University School of Law.

Prior to joining Melchionna PLLC, Filippo gained experience in corporate and M&A matters at a prominent Italian law firm in Milan. He also served as a Judicial Intern to the Honorable Gerald Lebovits of the New York State Supreme Court.

His academic and professional experience across both the Italian and U.S. legal systems provides him with a strong foundation for supporting the firm’s corporate, transactional, and international practice. His background in corporate law is particularly relevant to Melchionna PLLC’s work advising Italian, European, and U.S. clients on business transactions. Filippo also serves as Committee Liaison for the Business Law Section of the New York State Bar Association (NYSBA), furthering his engagement with the New York business law community.

Filippo is a native Italian speaker and is fluent in English. He sat for the New York Bar Examination in July 2026 and is awaiting results.
